Length of the Course
The Length of the Course for the Event is 5 kilometers for both categories - Women and Men.
Official Decision
In case of a factual situation that is not covered by the rules, the Race Director is the absolute and final authority to take a decision that he deems just. In the interest of fair play, the Race Director may amend or repeal any of the above rules and decide on the matter as he deems appropriate. The Race Director’s decisions will be final and binding on all Participants, their representatives and all persons associated with the race. There is no provision of appeal from the decisions made by the Race Director.
Unsporting Conduct
The Participant must at all times show respect to fellow Participants, the Organiser, the Sponsor and all personals associated with the Event. Participants and their representatives are responsible for their conduct at all times and must endeavor to prevent disorderly conduct before, during or after the Event. NCCC has no tolerance policy against racism, sexism and bullying of any kind.
Use of Banned Substance
The use of performance-enhancing drugs (doping) is prohibited. The Participant who is found to have used such banned substances, whether through a positive drugs test, the biological passport system, an investigation or public admission, will be disqualified from the Event without any refund and could face further penalties. Prohibited Advertising
There shall be no advertising through apparel, printed media, billboards, radio or television by the Team in context of NCCC that includes fast food, soft drinks, beer, wine, liquor, tobacco, political parties or candidates or any other advertising contrary to the philosophy of the NCCC. It is responsibility of teams to check with NCCC before entering in any sponsorships/endorsement agreement. Failing to do so could result in disqualification from current and future NCCC events.
Fit to Participate and Participation Risk
The Participant must be of, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in such a physically demanding event and the Participant obtain a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner, allowing the participant to participate in the Event. The Participant waive all claims of whatsoever nature against the Event, the Sponsor, the Organiser, and all the directors, employees, agents and representatives of all or any of the aforementioned including, but not limited to, any claims that might result from the participant participating in the event and whether on account of illness, injury, death or otherwise. If the Participant is injured or taken ill or otherwise suffer any detriment whatsoever, the Participant hereby irrevocably authorize the Event officials and the Organiser to, at the Participant’s own risk and cost, transport the to a medical facility and/or to administer emergency medical treatment and the Participant waive all claims that might result from such transport and/or treatment or delay or deficiency therein. The Participant shall pay or reimburse to the Organiser all medical and emergency expenses and the Participant hereby authorize/s the Organiser to incur the same. The Participant shall provide to the Organiser such medical data relating to the Participant as they may request. The Participant agree that nothing herein shall oblige the Event officials or the Organiser or any other person to incur any expense or to provide any transport or treatment. In case of any illness or injury caused to the Participant or death suffered by the Participant due to any force majeure event including but not limited to fire, riots or other civil disturbances, earthquakes, storms, typhoons or any terrorist act, none of the Sponsor, the Organiser or the persons, officials or volunteers of the Sponsor and the Organiser or any persons or entities associated with the Event or the directors, employees, agents or representatives of all or any of the aforementioned shall be held liable by the Participant or the Participant’s representatives.
Force Majeure
For reasons of force majeure the Organiser can decide to cancel the Event at short notice. If the Event is cancelled because of force majeure no new date will be set; the next Event will take place a year later. In this case no entry fees and additional orders will be refunded to the Participant. The Organiser is not liable for any costs incurred by the Team if the Event has to be cancelled because of force majeure.
Changing a Participant in a Team and Ticket Cancellation
Once registered, team ticket can not be cancelled or transferred and no refunds will be made. There shall be no refunds made to the Participant by the Organizer if the Participant is unable to take part on race day due to unavoidable circumstances like injury or illness. However, there can be two changes made to the team by 30th September 2018. For any such changes, please email us with the registration details. Any new Participant is subject to Eligibility Criteria mentioned above.
Right to Use of Media
The Participant give free permission for the free use of his/her name, voice or picture in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion or other account of the Event. No media team or individual, producer, director, wanting to take photographs or film any portion of the race or about the race can do so, without prior permission from the Organiser. The concerned person or team will also be required to sign an AGREEMENT for Still Photography, Filming Rights, Copyright, Licensing and Distribution.
Applicable Law; Consent to Jurisdiction
By completing this Event registration, both the Participant and the Event agree that the statutes and laws of India, without regard to the conflict of laws principles thereof, will apply to all matters relating to this Event registration, this Agreement and Waiver, the Terms of Use. The Participant agree that exclusive authority for any dispute with respect to the Event resides in the courts of Delhi, India and the Participant further agree and expressly consent to the exercise of personal jurisdiction in the courts of Delhi in connection with any dispute including any claim involving the Event, the Sponsor, the Organiser or its affiliates, subsidiaries, employees, contractors, officers, directors.
